What: This is the biggest and most popular St. Patrick’s day event in San Antonio. Start by transforming the River Walk into the River Shannon with plenty of green dye, and then explore the booths and shops sporting St. Patrick’s Day goodies along the river. Come back on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (come early for a good spot!) to see 14 St. Patrick’s Day floats full of bagpipers, Irish dancers, drummers, Kelly singers, and more. After the parade floats by, enjoy live music and performances, Irish food, and plenty of delicious Irish beer.

You also can play pool and relax with some friends after a long day of celebrating.
Where: Arneson River Theater in La Villita
When: Saturday from 12:00-9:00 p.m.
What: If the bar scene isn’t really your thing, take advantage of the live music festival being put on by the Harp & Shamrock Society of Texas.
