February is the month to have some family friendly fun. We have picked out some kid friendly events in San Antonio, so you’re sure to have something to do every weekend in the coming month.
Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive

When: February 4, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
What: The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is a city favorite that people look forward to all year long. While you can go see the horse and livestock shows and the actual rodeo, the Western Heritage Parade & Cattle Drive is the perfect event for the kids. There are games and activities starting in the morning and the mile-long parade starting at 11:00 a.m. Your kids are sure to love all the commotion, animals, and activities that are made just for them.
Storytime at The Twig
Where: 306 Pearl Parkway, Suite 106, San Antonio, Texas 78215
When: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
What: If you’re looking for things to do in San Antonio, The Twig bookshop hosts children’s storytime, author appearances, and events every weekend. On Friday, mornings there is Miss Anastasia’s Wild and Wacky Pre-weekend Twiglet Storytime when kids get to listen to a new story and participate in a craft. On Saturdays and Sundays, there are new authors that come to read passages from their books and sign copies, which is a great learning experience for the whole family.
Peter Pan at Ballet San Antonio

When: February 12-14
What: This event will bring some culture to the whole family. Introduce your children to the ballet with a story they already know and love. The whole family will love the high-flying choreography, special effects, and clever jokes. Once they have a taste for the music and dancing, you can introduce them to more shows and develop their passion for the arts.
STEM Saturday at The Witte Museum
Where: 3801 Broadway Street, San Antonio, Texas 78209
When: February 18 and 19, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
What: For February events in San Antonio, check out The Witte museum where they host STEM Saturday for kids to learn about science, tech, engineering, and math. On this particular Saturday, the event is focused on the sky and buildings. Your kids will get to play with robots, telescopes, rockets, and Legos all while learning a lot. You can bet they’ll be begging to come back every week!
